Located in a peaceful, elevated position at the end of a cul-de-sac, Balcarres enjoys stunning views of Loch Linnhe and the Argdour Hills, but is just a 15 minute stroll along the Loch to the Town Centre with its shops, bars and restaurants.

We are perfectly placed for enjoying all that the Highlands have to offer, be it sightseeing, walking, the local wildlife or adventure sports.

We look forward to welcoming you into our home and are more than happy to advise you on the many things to do and see in and around Fort William.

Balcarres has 3 Guest Rooms – a Double, a Twin and a Family (double + single) which are all ensuite, in addition we have 2 well equipped self catering apartments, with their own private entrances.

A small, non refundable deposit is taken at the time of your booking, and the remaining balance is due 30 days before your arrival.  Any cancellation due to mandatory Covid-19 orders or instructions will be rescheduled free of charge, but any other cancellations will incur a charge equating to full payment if within 30 days of the arrival date.  Please see our terms and conditions for full details.

We do allow well behaved dogs, although not in the breakfast room.  We ask that you keep them on a lead when not in your allocated room(s) for other guests’ comfort.  We have a dog and cat ourselves.

Yes, all major cards are accepted

A deposit is taken at the time of reservation by our payment system.  This is £25 for B&B, or the first night’s value for Self Catering.  The balance due is taken 30 days before your arrival.

Check in is from 4pm, but please contact us if you would like a later check in as we may be able to accommodate.  Our check out is by 10am,  check out time is not flexible as we need to clean the rooms.

The Railway and Bus Station is 1.5 miles away, with a taxi rank outside. 

Yes, there is free onsite parking available for the duration of your stay with us.
