Steall Falls

The 3rd highest waterfall in Scotland and a very popular walk for good reason.

Parking for Steall Falls is at the very end of the Glen Nevis road and can get very busy, we suggest arriving relatively early, as it is very popular. The walk is signposted at the end of the car park. Take the path and follow it along the gorge, through the woodland, passing over streams that run across the path, when it’s been raining. The view back down the valley is fantastic, as is the view down the gorge at the river, with the river cascading over huge boulders. eventually you will climb some steps that have a handrail and emerge at the top of the gorge into the valley, where Steall Falls will be directly in front of you, from there its just a short walk along the valley floor to get to the falls. For the braver hikers there is a wire bridge across the river which will get you close to the falls. After taking in the beautiful scenery retrace your steps to the car park.
